Midwifery
Midwives are specially trained to care for mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, labour and after the birth.
Maternity services in York include antenatal, delivery and postnatal care and are delivered from hospital and in the community.
Your midwife can give you information, encouragement and emotional support during pregnancy and labour. They will also care for both you and your baby immediately after birth.
You can find out more about York Hospital Maternity Services by visiting the York Hospital website, or by calling telephone: 01904 726720.
