Babies needing extra care

Some babies are born early or can be sick when they are born. These babies will be sent to the neonatal unit, where they will be given around the clock care from professionals.

You and your family will be given lots of support and advice while your baby is in the neonatal unit.

When your baby is ready to leave the hospital, you may feel excited and happy but worried about how you will cope when you arrive home. There is lots of support and advice available to you to help you through your new journey.
