Your pregnancy care and health

Your pregnancy care and health

Once you find out you're pregnant you should tell your doctor, who will begin the process of your pregnancy care.

You'll be offered midwife appointments throughout your pregnancy, to keep a check on your health and the health of your baby.

Personalised care plans will be given to help you explore, understand and record your individual choices for pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

Keeping well in pregnancy helps your baby to develop and grow.

Eating well and keeping active will help you deal with the demands pregnancy places on your body and help with your emotional and mental health.

It's important to attend all antenatal appointments with your healthcare professional and contact your GP or midwife if you have any concerns.
