If you're off work ill you may be entitled to sick pay, check your contract of employment to see what your employer offers. If they do not offer sick pay, you may be able to claim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
If you're disabled, you may be entitled to a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) which is gradually replacing Disability Living Allowance. Citizens Advice have a guide to help you make your claim.
