Parent Panel
Parent Panel
The Parent Panel is a monthly meet up that gives the opportunity to help shape the way you access and receive information on a range of issues and topics affecting family life in York.
The group consists of both parents and professionals so we can identify and look at changes required together. The group is currently led by the Family Information Service but hope that the meeting will be chaired by a parent in the future.
The Family Information Service is represented at the Raise York Integrated Leadership Team meeting which gives the opportunity of any key issues identified through the Parent Panel being raised at a senior level.
Meet ups are for an hour and a half and in person at the council offices at West Offices with the option to join us online. Parents and carers can bring their children along too.
For those that want to take a more active role, there is the opportunity to receive training to be a Parent Champion.
For those that do not wish to attend a meeting but have an active interest in what’s being discussed then you can join the mailing list and will receive the papers and minutes.
You can also submit your views and experiences to us via email [email protected], and these views will be read out anonymously at the Parent Panel for discussion.
We’re looking for parents and carers like you to join our Parent Panel.
If you are interested in joining our Parent Panel mailing list and be part of the conversations contact Family Information Service on 01904 554444 or email [email protected]
