Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli are heading to York in the Olivier award-nominated live stage show. Featuring brilliantly created puppets, this theatrical adaptation of the Emmy® award-winning children’s television series is packed with music, laughter, and fun for the whole family. Enjoy a spectacular free city-centre experience this spring as a giant inflatable octopus arrives for York BID’s latest Family Friendly Saturday event.

Families will be able to pick up a trail map to find the locations of 15 eggs on this free community egg trail.

Each sculpture has a unique design that tells the story of a local, independent business. For more information visit the York Mumblr website.

Local independent businesses will host handcrafted ceramic sculptures, each telling the story of the shop, café, or service it represents. Find out more about the Eggsplore Sculpture Trails and Egg Hunts in Haxby and Eggsplore Sculpture Trails and Egg Hunts in York.

  • Date: Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April 2026
  • Location: Haxby and York
  • Cost: Free

Both trails include special Easter egg hunts:

  • Haxby: midday to 2.00pm on Friday 3 April, at local businesses, with over 100 eggs to find and keep
  • York: 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 28 March, at Explore York Library, with over 100 eggs hidden for discovery

York Sport Village FITNESS meets puzzles in a new event aiming to challenge both the body and mind. A new race which combines a 5km run with escape room-style challenges. Designed for teams between one and four, participants will tackle puzzles every 500 metres with a mixture of logic and physical puzzles.
