The following events are taking place in September:
Let’s Create, Let’s Celebrate
- Where: Acomb Explore Library
- When: 11 September, 10.00am to 1.00pm
Help create a community wall hanging celebrating Acomb as the Place of the Oaks. Christine Rollitt, a Fine Art Artist with a focus on stitched textiles, will host this hands-on session.
Enjoy colouring cloth and papers ready to stitch. All materials are provided but please bring an apron or wear appropriate clothing for using paints.
This activity is open to all ages, although younger children will need parental assistance.
York Walking Festival
- When: 19 September to 4 October 2026
York Walking Festival offers a programme of group walks and other events across the city.
A leaflet listing the walks will be available in community hubs from the end of August. Check the York Walking Festival webpage for any last-minute changes or additions.
