Important update for families using The Avenues Family Hub

We’d like to let you know that over the coming months there may be some disruption at The Avenues Family Hub due to building work taking place at the school next to us.

The Department for Education is working with Tilbury Douglas on a major project to rebuild Tang Hall Primary School. This work will run from May 2026 through to July 2028. The existing school building, which dates back to the 1920s, is being replaced to provide modern facilities that better meet the needs of pupils, staff and the wider community.

While the school and Family Hub will remain open throughout the project, you may notice:

• Changes to parking availability
• Alterations to access routes into the Family Hub
• Increased activity in the surrounding area

Clear signage will be in place to help guide you safely to the building and we will do our best to minimise disruption wherever possible.

This is a really positive development for the local community and will result in significantly improved learning spaces, outdoor areas and facilities for families in the future.
