Meet our Information Officers

York Family Information Service is a free and impartial service aimed at families who have children and young people from pregnancy to 19 years (or up to 25 years if the child or young person has Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

When you contact the Family Information Service you can expect a friendly welcome from our Information Officers and a team dedicated to help signpost you to the services and support that you need. Operating on an ‘ask anything’ basis, Information Officers can help you find childcare in your area, signpost you to activities and things to do in York, provide lists of services, organisations and charities to help you with anything to do with family life. This can be services to help with:

  • childcare groups
  • activities for children, young people and families
  • finances
  • employment
  • emotional health and wellbeing
  • housing
  • Special Educational Needs
