Playworker - Dringhouses Out of School Club

Dringhouses Out of School Club is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Playworker to join its team on a permanent, part-time basis.

You will work in our busy out of school club, providing high-quality childcare and supporting a safe, creative and welcoming environment for children.

About the Role:

Position: Playworker

Responsibilities:

• Helping to plan out of school club activities.
• Developing an understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
• Leading and supporting safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities for different age groups.
• Undertaking training and professional development opportunities.
• Caring for the everyday needs of children and helping to maintain a safe and secure setting.

Essential Requirements:

• A commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
• A self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A Level 3 qualification in Playwork or childcare is desirable, or a willingness to work towards a recognised qualification.

Working Hours:

This is a permanent, part-time position working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday:

• Morning session: 7.15am to 8.45am.
• Afternoon session: 2.30pm to 6.00pm.
• Additional hours may be offered during school holidays.
