Playworker - Permanent Part Time - Kool Kids Club

Kool Kids Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Playworker to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

The successful candidate will work in our busy Out of School Club, providing high-quality childcare in a safe and supportive environment.

This role requires a strong understanding of playwork and early years practice, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.

As a Playworker, you will play a key role in creating engaging, creative, and inclusive play opportunities for children of all ages.

Provide high-quality care and supervision for children attending the out of school club.

Plan, lead, and support safe, creative, and age-appropriate play activities.

Contribute to the planning of engaging out of school club programmes.

Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.

Ensure the setting remains safe, secure, and welcoming at all times.

Meet the everyday care needs of children.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support daily operations.

Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Experience of working with children, or the ability to demonstrate relevant skills.

A good understanding of playwork and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and show initiative.

A committed, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach to childcare.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in playwork, childcare, or early years is desirable but not essential.
