Nursery Practitioner - Maternity Cover - Burnholme Nursery

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team to cover Maternity leave.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting.

This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and lead activities, and a genuine love for nurturing young minds.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play.

Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.

Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records of progress.

Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and well-organised at all times.

Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.

Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and support children's individual needs.

Collaborate with other staff members to manage daily operations smoothly.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.

Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and well-being.

Commitment to safeguarding children’s wellbeing and adhering to all regulatory standards.

Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education are essential.
